A message from Dave Borins: Seven Reasons Why You Need To Be There:
  1. We're making a LIVE album! For me, it has always been about the live show...... ...A great concert is a fusion between the performers and the audience.. You just can't capture that energy in a sterile recording studio!
Get your tickets ASAP, these shows will sell out! Either call the venue: 416-531-6604 or visit http://www.hughsroom.com/ http://www.daveborins.com/ -if you have to miss the show due to the birth of your child, you can still buy an advanced copy If the pay-pal links are finally working!
  2. By being there, you will have prepaid for the album, it'll come in the mail...... this is direct community engagement folks... I've eliminated the middleman!
If you are there both nights, you'll get your name in the LINER NOTES!
  3. This is a risky project... I'm devoted to making music on my own terms because I believe that in the 21st century we are empowered to think and act independently...
By attending the show, you're literally investing in the album's creation...
Everybody involved in this production is taking a chance because they believe in what it represents.
  4. The new tunes are KILLER... and we're road testing them in advance.... quality guaranteed!
Screw "auto-tune"... there is no man behind the curtain! It'll be like walking a tightrope over a pit of nuclear mutated alligators
    - I've even written parts for the audience to perform, YOU'LL BE ON THE ALBUM!!!
  5. We're making a documentary about the music community; focusing on the growing independent entrepreneurial spirit ... you'll be in that also!
  6. Hugh's room is one of the best places to see a show in Toronto, the food is great, bring a date! The doors open at 6 pm for dinner, show starts around 8:30, We'll be done by 11:30... having a job, or going to school is no excuse (unless you are totally lame)
  7. I likely haven't seen you in a long time. Being on the road often takes me away from the people I love...

This is a chance for you to see what all the hard work has been about, and to reconnect with a ton of familiar faces beyond "the social network." This is an analog world, yet it gets hard by the day to interact beyond the pixels!

Music crosses every boundary imaginable... I believe in its power to unite... I believe so wholeheartedly, that I've literally devoted my life and spirit towards expressing this power.

We do nothing alone, "I am yours, you are mine; we are what we are!"

I can't wait to see this project realized, I want you to be excited about it, and I urge you to be a part of it!
